Automatic doors are divided into: revolving doors, curved doors, sliding doors, emergency evacuation sliding doors, swing doors, folding doors, fast doors and other categories. Automatic doors began to be used in buildings after the 20th century. In the late 1920s, with the opening of supermarkets in the United States, automatic doors began to be used. In 1930, Stanley of the United States took the lead in launching the world's first automatic door (this historical material is recorded in the New York Times). Later, in 1945, Dorma, the world's first automatic door brand, widely launched hydraulic and air automatic doors to the market, and the main doors of newly built buildings also began to use them. By 1962, electrical doors had begun to appear, and then with the construction of cities, the field of automatic door technology has been increasing every year. At the beginning, it was difficult to control the speed of the motor by supplying power to the building, so it was necessary to control and convert the speed of the motor with hydraulic and air pressure, but because the energy utilization efficiency was very low, however, with the development of electrical control technology, electrical control technology has now matured, and electrical automatic doors that directly control the motor have gradually become the mainstream. For example: various automatic special doors with identifiable control, such as: induction automatic doors (infrared induction, microwave induction, touch induction, foot induction), card automatic doors, etc.
A system that uses foot pedals, photoelectric beams, etc. to automatically open and close door leaves with electricity, air pressure or hydraulic pressure as power.
There are three main ways to operate modern automatic doors.
1. Foot pedal type: a pressure switch is installed under the pedal.
2. Photoelectric beam type: a beam emitting device and a photoelectric sensor device are set near the door.
3. Button method: press a button similar to a switch by hand to open the door leaf. Automatic doors open and close door leaves by sliding, hinges or folding. In order to prevent theft, special equipment must be installed at the same time. For example, automatic doors for home use need to be equipped with visitor identification devices or TV monitors, etc., to strictly restrict people outside the family. Automatic doors have been widely used in shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, airports, stations, banks and other occasions.
A general term for automatic opening and closing controlled by various signals, and equipped with operating devices, sensing devices and door body parts.
